There is speculation this morning that the knee injury that forced Rob Earnshaw to pull out of the Wales U21 squad will keep him out of City's action at Reading this weekend.

Alan Cork has said

"Earnie has still got a bad knee. He won't be training until Thursday or Friday so he looks doubtful for the weekend."

Cork went on to say Earnie has an 85% chance of playing. City are still without Scott Young and Jason Bowen who are recovering from an injured knee and hamstring respectively.

Earnshaw damaged his knee in the 2 - 2 draw against Bournemouth at Ninian Park in City's last game.

Fingers crossed that Rob will be OK. City have former Reading player Paul Brayson available to slot into Earnie's position if needbe.

With City still not having signed a striker then Leo FW would be expected to start in front of an in form Kevin Nugent. Nugent has been in top form for the reserves scoring in both of his last two games. Gavin Gordon appears to be out of the equation for the moment.

Michael Simpkins should be OK at left back on Saturday. He came through an hour of the reserve game at Bristol City this week and should retake his place in the team.

City will be forced into at least one change as Willie Boland is suspended for being sent off against Bournemouth.
