Brentford's skipper and former Wales U21 player Paul Evans has again been linked with a move to Ninian Park. The 27 year old player was said to be a target several months ago but wanted to stay at Brentford until after the LDV Vans Trophy Final, a match the Bees lost. Evans then stayed at Griffin Park until the end of the season. Evans is a highly rated player and Brentford fans would be upset to see him leave.

Report from www.teamtalk.com
Brentford skipper Paul Evans may have played his last game for The Bees as rumours continue to circulate claiming he is on his way to Cardiff.
Reports suggest that Brentford chief Ron Noades has signed a deal with friend Sam Hammam to take the Welshman to the newly-promoted Bluebirds.
Sources close to the Ninian Park outfit say the deal was done before the end of last season but Noades has been keen to keep it under wraps until nearer August. It is not known what fee is involved but rumours suggest Evans has been offered a three-year deal.
He turned down a move to Colchester last season after Noades agreed a fee with the Essex club's chairman.
Cardiff supremo, Hamman, is looking to strengthen his side and sees Evans as the ideal captain with Division Two experience to lead his side up the table.

Darren Caskey has been released by Reading. It was mentioned on the messageboard last week that he was available and since then his name has appeared linked with City in several newspapers and websites. The club have denied any link at all.

Another name linked is Watford's Robert Page. The Welsh international was transfer listed by Gianluca Vialli last week and of course it did not take long for him to be made a City target by the media.
