Fri 4th May 2001 - Pre season friendlies

Some pre season friendly dates have been anounced. City will not be going "on tour" as they have in the past. Last year it was Ireland. This time the team will prepare for the new season in Wales and the West.

Confirmed dates so far are

Sat July 14th v Clevedon (away)
Sat July 21st v Hereford (away)
Tue July 24th v Forest Green (away)
Thu July 26th v Carmarthen (away)

City expect to arrange a game for Tuesday July 31st, a game against Merthyr at some stage and a home match on Sat August 4th, one week before the new season starts, at Ninian Park against big named opposition. A "sweetner" Bobby Gould told the Echo.

These dates are liable to change so keep looking for updates. The players return for training in the first week of July.
