Rob Earnshaw had an operation last Friday after suffereing cartlidge damage in his
knee. His expected to be out of action for upto 4 weeks. It is hoped that Rob will be
available for action again on Feb 25th when we play at Kidderminster. It looks though as
if the injury will scupper his chances of the trip to La Manga with the Welsh squad. They
leave on Feb 26th. There were reports today that Southampton are interested in Earnie,
another team added to the list. As far as other players go City are still without Kevin Nugent, the striker is reported to be in plaster following an operation on his achillies tendon. Andy Thompson and Mark Bonner are both out of plaster but it is expected to be 4 / 6 weeks before they are back in full training. Good news for Russell Perrett the defender made a return to action against Cwmbran at Ninian Park last week. Jason Fowler has also returned to action after his long illness. Jason came on as a sub against Rochdale last Friday night. |
