Paul Brayson has been added to the City squad for tomorrows massive game against Brentford at Ninian Park.

The great win against Oldham on Saturday has perked everybody up and now we can't wait for the game against the Bees. Brentford are currently third in the table and City will be looking to close the gap. A win by two goals will see City leap up 4 places to 5th and be right there in the promotion mix. This game is a re-arranged fixture and it is the "game in hand" thats been long talked about.

Brayson inclusion will at best see him on the bench. Alan Cork is expected to start with the same XI that beat Oldham.

The better team performance and the result on Saturday has given heart to all City fans. Frustrated as the poor home performances there has been much discussion on the team and the manager but the win at home and the quality of goals has left the fans wanting more. Brentford's visit is timed perfectly for the Club to show another big crowd, estimates are now suggesting 12,000 plus, that they are capable of going all the way and getting promoted.

There is still talk of Alan Cork receiving experienced help, I agree he does need assistance, its obvious that Sam will not just sack him, certainly not while we are on the up. Its important that we keep getting results. One defeat in 11 league games has put City right up there with a chance. An old head to help Cork could just make the difference in City's favour. We can't afford to slip up. If we are to be serious about promotion then we need to keep winning. Draws will not be enough.

City then should line up Alexander, Gabbidon, Prior, Young, Gordon, Kavanagh, Bonner, Boland, Bowen, Thorne, Earnshaw. Brayson or Gavin Gordon will probably replace Nugent on the subs bench. With Leo, Weston, Maxwell and Legg keeping their places. There is slight injury niggles over Gabbidon and Bonner but both should be fine to play.

Last Saturday was a big and important game, this one is even bigger and more important.

City are at home again this coming Saturday, Port Vale visit in the FA Cup. Most City fans will think Christmas has come early if we wind the week up with an FA Cup win after two home league wins. What chance then a Premiership side in the Cup.

OK, starting to run away with myself, nice thoughts but back to Tuesday. Lets go beat Brentford.
