| Sun 2nd September 2001 - City drop to 14th | |
| September Headlines |
The
weekends results have seen City drop to 14th place. Not too bad a position and it could
have been worse. Huddersfield have taken the initiative at the top of Div 2 after the Terriers beat Wycombe 2 - 1 at the McAlpine on Sunday evening. They have won 4 out of 5 games to lead on 12 points. Bristol City, Colchester, Reading and Brentford all have 10 points. City have played at least one game, and in some cases 2 games less than most teams in the division. Only Wrexham in 21st place and bottom of the table Wigan have only played 3 games. Next weeks opponents Reading won 2 - 0 at Port Vales yesterday with hit man Jamie Cureton picking up both goals. Neil Razor Ruddick scored the winner for Swindon in a 1 - 0 home win over Colchester. Leon McKenzire, who scored for Peterborough reserves against City last week was on target yesterdau at first team level and his goal earned the POSH 2 points away at Chesterfield. |
