City skipper and £1m signing Graham Kavanagh has been included in a provisional 39 man squad for the Republic of Ireland's friendly game against Croatia at Lansdown Road on August 15th.

Kavanagh has 3 caps already and has scored an international goal. Like most players his ambition is to play for his country and Graham was keen to prove himself at Cardiff and get back into the international set up. That chance may come sooner than he anticipated.

Congratulations to Graham and I hope he is still involved when the squad is trimmed down.

Also called up is Glenn Crowe, remember him, came to us on loan, scored and his debut and then failed to impress. He nows plays in Ireland and scoring for fun. Well done to Glenn as well.
