Wed 1st August 2001 - Tonights team news.

Cardiff City will field a full strength XI for the visit of Coventry City tonight. Barring injury I would expect tonights team to be the team to run out against Wycombe in 11 days time.

City. Alexander, Weston, Prior, Gabbidon, Simpkins, Low, Kavanagh, Hamilton, Legg, Earnshaw, Gordan.

Subs, Kendall, Leo FW, Maxwell, Nugent, Bowen, Brayson, Young, Boland, Hughes.

So Scott Young has been replaced by Michael Simpkins in the only change from the team that started against Crystal Palace. Simpkins will play at left back with Gabbidon moving to centre half alongside Spencer Prior. Kevin Nugent returns to the first team squad after successfully coming through some pre season games. Mark Bonner is out after his injury at Weston Super Mare.

Coventry travelled to S Wales without John Hartson. He is expected to make a move to Celtic tomorrow.

Kick off tonight is at 7:45pm and the game is live over the internet worldwide at www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk. The game is also being broadcast on Real Radio which is 105 - 106 FM in S Wales and now digitally available all over Europe for users of SKY Digital. (I think channel 896).
