Blackburn Rovers are reporting that Cardiff have failed in an attempt to sign their Eire international keeper Alan Kelly from Blackburn Rovers. The deal was alledged to be a loan signing until the end of the season but it appears the players wages were the stumbling block. Blackburn Rovers say the enquiry from Cardiff came in earlier in the year and has not been followed up.

Kelly said "I got the impression my wages might have been a problem so I didn't take their interest that seriously."

The 32 year old is available for transfer from Blackburn after asking for a move.
