Its quite simple. If Oxford beat Scunthorpe at the Manor Ground we need to get results at Stoke and Gillingham. An Oxford win would relegate Scunthorpe and probably Blackpool and leave City 4 points behind with two games in hand. In my opinion our best scenario is for Scunthorpe to beat Oxford, Oldham to at least draw with Blackpool and that would leave City needing 4 points to vitually assure us of staying up.
Its possible that if Scunthorpe win at Oxford and Oldham beat Blackpool that one point could see us stay up but only if Oxford, Scunny and Blackpool all lose their last match of the season against Millwall, Burnley and Chesterfield respectively (not impossible). The combinations are endless. The bottom line is that Oxford must not beat Scunthorpe tomorrow. An away win would nearly be be as good as City getting three points on Sunday. (imagine if Scunny win and we do get three points on Sunday - heaven.). As you can see from the table its very tight but City have a better goal difference. The tighter it stays the better as the goal difference is worth an extra point to City. At 5pm today I will update the situation. COME ON YOU IRON.
