As reported here yesterday City have taken Hull City striker Jason Harris on trial at Ninian Park. Harris is 23 and reported to be very quick. He has impressed in training but reports from Hull suggest a Jeckyl and Hyde type player. Harris was born 24/11/76 in London. He is just over 6' tall. Harris has undoubted pace but he has failed to make a major impression with the 6 clubs he has already played for. I'm not one to judge so I wish Harris all the best in his trial. Report from www.hcafc.com Brian Little has obviously spotted this and his appearances have been restricted mainly to the subs bench and the Reserves. This season 'Spider' has come on twice as a sub, and has started just once for the first team, when John Eyre was injured in the warm-up at Macclesfield. He has scored twice for the Reserves, which was, incidently, at Macclesfield. Harris started his career with Crystal Palace, where he failed to start a first team game. He enjoyed a succesful loan spell at Bristol Rovers, and also played one game for Lincoln on loan before moving to Leyton Orient. He scored 8 from 42 apppearances for the O's. He netted 7 times in 98/99 for Preston. He was tagged as a 'super sub' when signing for City, having scored a reasonable amount of goals at most of his clubs as a sub most of the time, but we haven't seen too much of this. The Amber Nectar fanzine offer a similar view. |
