Cardiff City have been given a £1m grant to improve the Bob Bank at Ninian Park. The Football Foundation have approved the money which will go towards the £1.4m refurbishment of the Bob Bank which will include 3,000 new seats on the currently empty lower area and also include a new roof over the new seats. There will be a new TV gantry thus freeing up more seats with a better view of the pitch.

The ground will benefit with a new p.a. system as well.

Work will be done throughout the season but the bulk of the reconstruction will have to be done next close season. The club are hoping to have it all finished for the start of the 2001 / 2002 season.
