There is speculation as to why Ron Noades was at Ninian Park yesterday. Alan Cork explained that Brentford were winning while Ron was on holiday and they did not want him to come back and jinx the team. So Ron came to Cardiff to stay out of the way. Bad move Ron, the bees were beaten 3 - 1 at Luton. There are reports around that City are looking at three Crystal palace players, keeper Matthew Gregg and defenders David Woozley and Johnathon Boardman. City have changed two FAW Premier Cup fixtures. The away game at Stebbonheath Park v Llanelli on Tuesday 31st October has been altered from a 7:15pm kick off to 7pm. The match will now be televised live on BBC TV. The away game at Cwmbran scheduled for November has been changed to December 6th. City are hoping to have a return to action soon of Andy Thompson, City's early season skipper is back in training this week and his aiming to try and make a playing return in the above mentioned game at Llanelli. Willie Boland is currently in light training, just going for runs. He is hoping to return to proper training soon. Russell Perrett is still out and could be for another month. Jason Fowler remains at home taking medication for an underactive thyroid. He is not ready to return to training yet. Much light has been made in the Wales On Sunday today about Bobby Goulds petrol mix up. Poor Bobby put the wrong fuel in his car at Pentwyn last week and was spotted by NigelBlues. Nigel of course dutifully told everyone and Bobby found himself being towed away by the RAC. Its all been in good spirits though. City climbed three places in Div 3 after yesterdays game, they are still 14 points behind leaders Chesterfield after the Spirites scored a 90th minute winner at home to then second placed Brighton. Rochdale are now in second after a 2 - 0 win at Cheltenham. City's next opponents Darlington took a point away from Scunthorpe after a 1 - 1 draw. Halifax continue to hold up the football league after losing 1 - 0 at Barnet. Familiy reunion 2. Yesterday Leo Fortune West and his nephew Jon Fortune both saw action at Ninian Park. On Tuesday its the Nogan boys. Kurt will be hoping for a chance on the pitch while his brother Lee is leading Darlingtons strikeforce. |
