Preston North End have confirmed that the Kurt Nogan transfer have been completed.

They end their official press release with one final gambit in the war of words between the clubs.

Most importantly though is the fact that the deal is complete.

Preston North End can confirm that the transfer of striker Kurt Nogan to Cardiff City was completed early this afternoon. The twenty-nine-year old Welshman is joining his home town club for a fee of £100,000. Chief Executive Tony Scholes said: Kurt Nogan does not figure in David Moyes' plans for next season, and given that Kurt would have been a free agent at the end of the season under the Bosman ruling, the Board felt that £100,000 was a fair price for a player with Kurt's experience and ability. Manager David Moyes commented ; Kurt has done a good job for North End since he joined us from Burnley and was our leading goalscorer last season. I wish him well in his future career. It was agreed with Cardiff from the outset that we were not prepared to complete a deal until after yesterday's games, particularly our match against Notts County.
