This result will only mean something if we win at Reading on Saturday. City needed 7 points from 9 this week and they have 4 after a win and a draw. It was never going to be easy, two teams fighting for their second division lives. Tonights result is not helped by relegation rivals Oxford getting an away win at Bury. It does though start to drag Bury into the relegation battle. City remain in 22nd place.

Russell Perrett headed City ahead in the 31st minute. While City were still celebrating a lapse in concentration, mainly by the goalscorer Perrett allowed Payne to head past Hallworth to get what turned out to be the last goal of the game.

Its another game gone with little reward. We're not dead yet. Roll on Reading and hopefully the Kurt Nogan show.
