No decision was made on the possible transfer of Sunderland keeper Andy Marriott to Cardiff City on Tuesday. Marriott was at Ninian park discussing a possible move. City have agreed a £300,000 fee with Peter Reid at the Stadium of Light.

City striker Kevin Nugent is reported to have accepted a two year extension on his current contract. Nuge is now committed to the Bluebirds until the end of the 2002/3 season. Kevin is the third City player to agree to extended terms after Rob Earnshaw signed a four year deal and Andy Legg a one year extention.

Rumours that Chstian Edwards was a target have been quoshed by Forest manager David Platt. Platt has said Edwrds is not for sale.
