The results of our relegation rivals went in our favour yesterday. Of the bottom 6, City were the only team to win on the weekend. Blackpool, who drew at Millwall, were the only other team to get a point.

Bottom club Chesterfield were beaten 3 - 1 at Bristol Rovers, second bottom Blackpool gained a point in a 1 -  1 draw at Millwall, City third from bottom took all three points from Chesterfield on Friday, Oxford who are currently in the first relegation spot were beaten at home by Notts County. The two teams just above the drop zone, Cambridge and Scunthorpe were beaten by Wrexham and Gillingham respectively.

It now means there are at least 6 teams battling to avoid the drop with a 6 point gap then to the reletive safety of the teams in 18th position and above.
