Teamtalk.com have posted a story claiming that Wigan are interested in signing Andy Legg. As far as I am concerned they can all go and jump off the end of their pier. Hopefully its just speculation. "Wigan Athletic have been linked to Cardiff's midfield battler Andy Legg as they continue to spend to strengthen their promotion bid.Yesterday Wigan signed Neil Redfearn, the aging Bradford midfielder, for £112,500 and manager John Benson has said he is keen to strengthen the squad before next week's transfer deadline. He is particularly looking to bolster their depleted midfield and find a suitable left-back cover. Neath-born Legg moved to Cardiff on a free transfer from Reading in 1998 and has proved a strong competitor in the midfield engine room. He has also contributed his share in front of goal, netting three so far this season." |
