Tranmere full back Andy Thompson was training with Cardiff City this morning. The 32 year old defender has player over 100 games for Tranmere scoring 4 goals. His contract at Prenton Park has just expired. Andy was a long serving Wolves player having over 10 seasons at Molineux before going to Tranmere in 1997.

There is no confirmation as to whther he has signed, is signing or is on trial?
