Billy Ayre is facing a selection problem in defence this weekend at Oldham. Mike Ford and Russell Perrett missed last nights FAW Cuip game after picking up knocks against Cambridge and Jeff Eckhardt was taken off last night after tweaking a hamstring. Scott Young is the only recognised centre back who is fit but he himself needed treatment last night after being punched by Seamus Kelly.

Should Perrett, Ford and Eckhardt all fail to recover for Saturday then City only have Lee Phillips and Jorn Schwinkendorf in the first team squad who are defenders.

Schwinke has been out of favour and on the transfer list for a few months. Could he get his chance?
