Tonights game is a chance to put a small smile back on the faces of the fans and players after last Saturdays game against Cambridge. City find themselves in a no win situation again. We will win the game for sure but if we scrape it 1 or 2 nil then we should have hammered them. If we win by a sackful then its because we are playing a LoW side. With a 4 - 0 lead after the first leg the tie is in the bag. Billy will be forced into team changes tonight. At first it was going to be a run out for the first team to get more match prcatice but several players picked up injuries against Cambridge and will not play. Out are Mike Ford, Russell Perrett, Kurt Nogan, Mark Bonner and Matt Brazier. I would expect then a team made up of first and rserve team players. What chance Schwinke and Boland getting a game?? With Wrexham also winning 4 - 0 after their first leg against Barry it should be confirmed as a City v Wrexham final. The decision for selecting the venue for the final will again be by the most technical way possible. Forget giant goldfish bowls full of numbered balls and Pele selecting the lucky winners in front of Miss Worlds and famous celebrities, it will be decided by the toss of a coin. Wrexham have hosted the final for the last two seasons, it must be our turn surely. Admission tonight is £5.00 for adults, upto 3 accompanied kids will be admitted free with each paying adult in the Family Enclosure and kids are in for £1.00 in the Grandstand. One last note. Caernarfon manager Dixie McNeil, now 53, is still registered as a player. He has suggested in the press that he may come on and play. Billy look out, if he's any good we might need him to challenge for Fordy's place. (Only joking Mike). |
