T minus 11 games and counting. Will it be lift off and survival or will we plummet from the heights of division 2 into the third?

Well the seasons not over yet, we have a new face in the starting line up tonight. A striker would you believe. This morning 22 year old Paul Brayson signed on a months loan from Reading. After the choruses of WHO? WHO? etc calm down lets be positive. Paul is ex Newcastle, Reading paid £100K for him but he has struggled to keep a first team place and for the Royals he has only scored once in 15 starts. He did though have a loan spell at Swansea three years ago while he was still at Newcastle and scored 5 goals in 11 games. Brayson actually came on as an 81st minute substitute for Reading on Boxing Day. Ironic that he actually played a part in our last victory.

The team tonight will be: Hallworth, Legg, Ford, Young, Perrett, Carpenter, Fowler, Bonner, Brazier, Nugent and Brayson.

Subs Kelly, plus 4 from Bowen, Roberts, Eckhardt, Low and Hill.

We are all going to be expecting miracles from Brayson. Give him a chance, its his first game. Further striker news - it seems that City have now made a full £100K offer for Kurt Nogan. Preston will decide on Monday whether he can leave or not. Providing there are no injuries to the front line strikers Kurt could sign in time for Tuesday's game at Chesterfield.

I dont want to depress you but facts are facts  try out these from John Heyda.
Would you believe that the last time City went 13 matches without a win they were playing in the old First Division? Well, believe it. The current 13-game winless streak is the longest City has had to endure since the 1961-62 season, the club's last campaign in the top flight of the English league. That year City went 14 in a row without a win. The streak that season started with the turn of the year. Following a 1-0 win over Aston Villa at Ninian Park on December 26, 1961, the Bluebirds went until April 21, 1962 before winning again. They won 3-2 that day, edging past Birmingham at Ninian. City managed but five draws during the 14-game downturn, scoring only nine times while allowing 31 goals.

Dave Green, hotly tipped by many to have been a Cardiff player by now is not playing for Colchester tonight he is injured. The U's are not sure in Lua Lua will start the game. There is speculation in Essex that he could be a £million plus target for Spurs, Colchester though are trying to get him to sign a new deal at Layer Rd. Tough choice.

Bottom line is that we get down to Ninian Park tonight and cheer the lads on to victory. (That sounded like something from Pathe News).
