City moved up to 3rd in Division 3 today with a crucial 2 - 0 win at Glanford Park. Scunthorpe were defending an unbeaten home record and made it hard work for City but a looping header on 70 mins from Kevin Nugent and a breakaway by Rob Earnshaw on 72 minutes after a defensive error plundered the points for City.

The Bluebirds are now unbeaten in 8 league games this season and sit proudly near the top of the table. Two wins in a row have added confidence and next weeks game against Kidderminster should be a cracker.

Leo Fortune West was again on the bench and Bobby's decision was proved right when the pairing of Nugent and Earnshaw bagged a goal each. Scott McCulloch was dropped to the bench as Matt Brazier played at left back. City again used all three subs.

Early days still as I have said before but we are heading in the right direction. Excellent result. Blooooobirds.
