City go into matchday 8 with an unbeaten record. Glanford Park has been a good ground for City in the last 4 seasons. Last year it was Billy's first match in charge of City and a drab 0 - 0 draw was acheived, the season before, ours (and Scunthorpes) promotion season, a John Williams brace saw the Bluebirds come away 2 - 0 winners. The season before Andy Saville scored a hattrick in a 3 - 3 draw. We won the game in the 1996/7 season by a goal to nil.

Tomorow will be tough, Scunthorpe are a hard side and have had 4 players sent off so far this season. Their form is OK, 3 wins, 2 draws and two losses have the Iron level with us on 11 points so its all to play for.

They are unbeaten at home so a draw could be the likely result.

City travelled to North Linclonshire today with the same sqaud of players who were available in midweek. Will Bobby give Earnie another start or will he favour the attack of the big men with Nugent and Fortune West. After pulling Dave Greene off against Halifax will he be reinstated or will Gethin Jones get the chance for a first league start.

The squad that travelled. Walton, Brazier, Young, Greene, Bonner, Bowen, Nugent, Legg, Hill, Eckhardt, Brayson, Earnshaw, Low, Gabbidon, Jones, Evans, McCulloch, Fortune West. (There was no mention of John Hallworth in the squad list this afternoon, I assume he must have travelled as well, City always play with a reserve keeper).

Good luck to the Bluebirds. Lets keep the unbeaten run going and come away with 3 points. Good luck to those fans travelling tomorrow in their search for petrol to get to Scunthorpe and back.
