| Tues 15th Feb 2000 - Nogan linked again | |
| February Headlines |
The Echo today suggest that City's top striker target is Kurt Nogan. Nogan has been linked for a few months now but for the time being I would treat this as paper talk. The striker is just returning from hamstring injury. Our need for a striker is obvious. It has been rumoured that a player has been lined up for signing when the takeover goes through. A case of wait and see I think. Rob Earnshaw has been impressing the Scottish fans with his displays for Greenock Morton. The Scottish press have rated him as a million pound player. He has scored twice so far on his loan spell and his biggest test will come this weekend against Rangers. That game is the last one during his initial months loan. It had been agreed by Frank Burrows that he could stay until the end of the season but I understand his form has earned him a recall to Cardiff. Billy Ayre wants the player back at Ninian Park. Good news. I see Ian Wright has signed for Burnley today from Celtic on a free transfer. What a signing that would have been. The Clarets come to Ninian Park on April 1st. Hopefully Ian Wright Wright Wright wont make a fool out us. |
