Action again at Ninian Park. A chance for City to register their first win of the year. On paper their should be no contest but shocks happen. As City have no game this coming weekend Billy Ayre will field his strongest XI. The team that finished the match on Saturday are most likely to start tonight. City will be without Jeff Eckhardt in the squad as he is suspended after receiving a red card against Merthyr in the last of the group matches. Josh Low is out through injury. He damaged ligaments in his foot last Saturday and will be out for a week or two. The only unsure position is that of goalkeeper. Ian Feuer is patiently waiting his chance, with news at the moment that West ham are interested in signing him we may not see him play. There is a reserve game tomorrow so the first team players who miss out tonight will get a game at Ninian Park against Swansea reserves tomorrow afternoon (2pm). City cannot afford to take Aberystwyth lightly. There is money and prestiege at stake tonight. The game is live on BBC 2 Wales. Those who are going to the game can take children under 16 into the family enclosure for free. Upto three kids per adult, but they must each have a special voucher from the Echo. Today the vouchers are on page 35. Hows this for an end to the day. An announcement from the boardroom that all is sorted and the takeover is going through post haste and a convincing victory at Ninian Park. Remember those days? Come on you Bluebirds.... |
