A better second half perfomance was not enough to get a point for City. Orient led after 9 minutes from Smith and then extended their lead with a dubuios penalty on 37, converted by Lockwood. City took the initiative in the second half and were looking good when Leo scored on 55 mins but several near misses and the cross bar managed to keep City from getting an equaliser. City are now 13th in the table, 14 points behind leaders Chesterfield.

City only managed one shot on target in the first half and that was on 45 mins. By that time as it turned out the game was already lost. Rob Earnshaw came on as a first half sub after City had conceeded the second goal and he nearly scored with his first touch.

But thats two defeats in the last two games. Tuesday's opponents Carlisle were beaten at home by Barnet today. Carlisle are one point off the bottom of the table and in a right mess. Anything less than a win on Tuesday will be seen as a disaster.
