Chetserfield are still the team to catch in Division
3 depite being held to a 1 - 1 draw at Exeter they are still 5 points clear of second
place and a massive 14 points clear of City. The Spirites led for most of the match but an
86th minute penalty for the Grecians urned them a point. Rochdale moved into second place with a 2 -1 home win over Hartlepool. Dale leapfrogged Brighton who drew at home with Scunthorpe and Cheltenham who were beaten at Macclesfield. Orient are now 5th on 22 points with Southend in 6th on 20 points thanks to a 1 - 0 win at Roots Hall over York City. Darlington sit in the last play off spot with 20 points, City are 13th with 15 points and Scunthorpe, Barnet, Mansfield, Macclesfield and Kidderminster between us and 7th place. Only 1 point separates us from Hartlepool, Hull, Exeter and Shrewsbury, the 4 teams below us. As you can see the top of the table is a long way off, but we are only 5 points from the play off zone but we are in a scrap with 10 other teams within 6 points of 7th position. It has to get better. |
