Sam Hammam has been trying his best this week to find a solution for City fans wanting to travel to Scunthorpe. Sam had to miss the Halifax game through illness but has been working hard at trying to accomodate 2,000 spaces for City fans to travel to Glanford Park. Unfortunately this time its not been possible as the train company wanted 7 days notice to charter a train. Sam then tried to hire 40 coaches but again with such short notice only a few could be made available and it would not have been possible to organise a fair selection process for people wanting to travel. All expense for the train or coach was going to be covered by Sam, meaning all City fans would have travelled free of charge. A fantastic gesture which would have been well supported. Hopefully now that some fuel is available most fans will travel anyway. |
