Seamus Kelly has left Ninian Park. He has signed for St Patricks (Dublin) and makes his debut against Dundee Utd in a pre season friendly at Richmond Park tomorrow. Cardiff City Online would like to thank Seamus for his time at Ninian Park especially for his efforts in gaining promotion last year. Best wished for the future.

The St Pats website says

"Manager Pat Dolan commented: "I’ve been chasing Seamus for several months and I am now delighted that the deal is concluded. He is a top class performer and has a first class attitude and work ethic. With Trevor Wood returning to Britain, it was important to replace him with someone with potential and a pedigree. We are building a new team and getting the right "keeper is crucial to our plans."

Seamus spent five seasons as first choice goalkeeper with UCD where he established himself as one of the best in Irish football and then spent two years with Cardiff City. Kelly, 26 said "I am thrilled to be associated with such a professional and successful club as St Patrick’s Athletic who I believe to be the biggest and best club in Ireland. It is an honour to pull on the jersey and I aim to play my part in repeating the success of recent seasons. It’s great to be back in the eircom League which seems to be improving year after year".

Jason Fowler has agreed to stay at Ninian Park. The player verbally agreed a three year contract with Billy Ayre today and hopes to complete the signing on Monday. Fowler had attracted the interest of several clubs  but looks set to remain at Ninian Park.
