| Mon 13th Nov 2000 - Coventry block Palmer talks | |
| November Headlines
|
The Carlton Palmer speculation has been cut short by Coventry City. The Midlands club
have ended the speculation by refusing to let Palmer speak to Cardiff City. Cardiff are
maintaining their block on talking about the proposed interest but Coventry have confirmed
the interest but have said Palmer is staying at Highfield Rd. There appears no doubt that
has been interest but talk over the weekend of a £1.5m wage offer over two years is
unsubstantiated. City have in the past stated that they would not pay such high wages.
Palmer himself has confirmed that Gordon Strachan has told him he cannot speak to Cardiff
City. So unless there is any major developments on this topic I will leave it rest. |
