What a fantastic way to start the season. 3 points and a good performance. Paul Brayson fired home a Josh Low cross on 34 mins, Exeter equalised just after the break when Grahame Tomlinson fired in an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box. City were not be denied though and on 62 mins Josh Low had the simplest of tasks to tap in a loose ball after Paul Brayson fired in a snapshot after a Thompson throw was flciked into his path.

The cheering at the end and the overall crowd support for City was amazing. The total attendance was only 3,929. City sold all of there 1650 tickets. A poor show from Exeter fans for the first game of the season.
