£100,000.
The prize on offer for the winners of Sundays FAW Cup Final. While the competition has
been second in importance to league survival it is now all we have left and City, like
they have in the last few matches, will be giving it 100%. Cardiff will start as underdogs, Wrexham are playing at home (again), and after finishing very respectably in the Div 2 table, will be confident of beating the Bluebirds. For City its a last chance for players to show they are willing to play for the shirt. Billy Ayre is expected to announce his retained list early next week. Russell Perrett will miss the game as he is still out injured. Mike Ford may be available in what will prrobably be his last match for City if he takes part. Rob Earnshaw is fit again after a long term injury. He was a non playing sub against Bristol Rovers last week and is expected to be on the bench again. I hope to have squad details later this afternoon with hopefully some team news on the weekend. The match is being shown live on BBC TV in Wales and nationally on BBC Choice Wales on the digital network. There will be site updates and goal videos uploaded on Sunday. |
