Bobby Gould has said this afternoon that City are not chasing Carlton Palmer. Gould
was speaking on RealRadio and said categorically that Sam Hammam had made no approach. The
rumours must have started from the midlands. CCFC Net are reporting that Palmer has refused to drop to Div 3. I guess the truth is somewhere in between. City may well have been interested but how close it came to being reality is hard to know. There was enough in the rumour to prompt reports from The Western Mail, The Daily Mirror and The Echo to all run with City being on the verge of a signing. |
