City reserves wil compete with 4 other clubs this season in a very small league. City will be joined by Newport County, Yeovil, Swansea City and Plymouth. They will play  8 league games before Christmas and 8 cup matches after Christmas.

It is small but its better than nothing. It was hoped Exeter and Torquay would take part but they are unlikely to run reserve teams.

City hope to have a place in the new combination league planned for 2001 - 2002 which could see them in a league of 20 teams.
