There are many tit bits of information relating to City over the weekend.

Firstly Rob Earnshaw, Daniel Gabbidon and Kevin Evans (Evans as a late sub), all played for Wales U21 in the 0 - 2 defeat against Norway last Friday. All three are on duty again on Tuesday night in Poland.

Earnie is being watched by Celtic according to CCFC Net. They claim the bhoys have watched the young striker 3 times already this season. Gould though has gone on record as saying he would not sell him even for a couple of million. Earnie signed a new 4 year contract a few weeeks ago.

Just a quick mention that Nathan Blakes stunning header for Wales in the 1 - 1 draw against Norway is available in the classic video section. I have had several requests for the goal so I have placed it in that section.

It turns out that City physio Mike Davenport has been released by the Club. Early indications last week suggested he resigned but he is being moved out to allow former Wimbledon and current Luton Town physio Clive Goodyear to join the staff.

As far as signings and rumours are concerned City are being linked with several players.

The new links are with Barnet duo Mark Arbor and John Doolan. It appears that Gould had offered £700,000 for the pair but Barnet have refused at that price. Call me cynical but are teams now trying to overprice their players because we have a bit of cash behind us? Arbor is a 23 year old defender and Doolan a 26 year old midfielder. Bobby has confirmed his interest in these two players.

Negotiations still appear to be open with Blackburn over the possible transfer of Darren Peacock. Bobby Gould has also confirmed he has watched Mike Panopoulos of Portsmouth but has not enquired further. He is not looking at Scott Hiley also of Portsmouth as earlier speculated.

Gould has spoken over his interest in Leon Jeanne (see report below). Jeanne it appears will be released without fuss by Q.P.R.

Matt Byant, the Gillingham defender, would appear to be a non starter.

Jeanne report from TotalFootball.
Queens Park Rangers striker Leon Jeanne could be on his way to his hometown club of Cardiff City, and manager Bobby Gould isn't put off by the player's troubled reputation.

Jeanne, 19, is seen as a talent but he has "gone missing" several times from his club and, although he was picked to play with the Wales Under-21s last week he did not join up with the squad.

"Leon played for my Wales Under-18 team. I have managed him and I don't feel uncomfortable with any baggage he may bring with him," Gould told the official Nationwide League website.

"We have spoken to Leon's agent and if Queens Park Rangers make him available we will be interested," said the ex-Wales manager.

QPR manager Gerry Francis, speaking on the London club's official website, said: "Leon has had major financial, social and domestic problems for more than two years now. The PFA have been well aware of the situation for that period.

"Unfortunately, Leon's problems are self-inflicted. Also, he has two young children which he can't look after, so his relatives are looking after them.

"He has had a lot of help from the club and other people throughout that period of time and he's let a lot of people down. Unfortunately, things haven't got any better. In fact, the opposite is probably true.

"It is not easy for me to talk about the situation as I could probably write a book about what has happened with Leon. But the most important thing now is his welfare," said the ex-England captain.

Jeanne has played 12 games for QPR, starting four. It is believed that QPR would be willing to let him leave on a free transfer and Cardiff would be eager to pick him up.
