Last
Saturday, 6th May, saw the annual Cardiff City Supporters Club Player of the year awards.
The event held at the Sports Cafe was very well supported and a very enjoyable night. I was privilidged to be able to present the Internet award to Andy Legg who pooled 70% of nearly 1,000 votes cast on the website. Andy was also Player of the Season for the 1927 Club award and the CCSC award. Mark Bonner won the award for most improved player, while Kevin Nugent took the goal of the season honour for his strike against Colchester. Rob Earnshaw picked up the young player award and Carl Dale was added to the Hall of Fame for his services to Cardiff City. Despite the team being relegated the fans, players and board alike were upbeat about our chances for next season. Thanks to Mark Watkins and the CCSC for organising the night and for the chairman, directors and players for making themselves available to hear the fans thoughts and comments. |
