After Clive Sullivan, David Sullivan, Richard Branson and Lord Lucan, Ron Noades has received a lot of press regarding a takeover of Cardiff City. There are reports ranging from total denial to admitting parties have been discussing the matter.

Where the truth is I do not know. Some say Kumar is involved, other reports say its a board room rumour from CCFC. The following three reports, all from Teamtalk.com show just how confusing the situation is. All I will say is to all parties, please, its fans emotions that are being tossed about here. Don't make the Sullivan mistake again.

The following three reports are all coutesy of Teamtalk.com.

Noades Deal Unlikely

Brentford supremo Ron Noades has confirmed he will solve Crystal Palace's financial problems before thinking about a link-up with Cardiff City.

Reports suggest the former Eagles' chairman was prepared to offer Cardiff a £1.2m loan and purchase £1m worth of shares.

While he won't rule out doing a deal, Noades insists he wants the Eagles situation to be resolved first.

He said: "Before I can do anything I have to resolve the Crystal Palace situation. The club still use my training ground which they have a 99 year lease for.

"My company also owns Selhurst Park and until Crystal Palace come out of administration, everything is somewhat up in the air."

But then there's this Teamtalk story as well:

Noades Confusion Rules

Brentford supremo Ron Noades has blasted Cardiff City for making up stories concerning himself and a possible take over at Ninian Park.

It has been rumoured for some time that Noades could be the man most likely to take over the Bluebirds and lead them up the English divisions.

But Noades has clouded the whole situation after angrily dismissing any possible links with Cardiff City, putting the hype down to the third division club's board's rumour machine.

"It seems their board talk about possible investors and link themselves with them in the media in the hope that it might rub off," said Noades.

"At the moment I am perfectly happy at Brentford and am busy trying to find the striker we have been looking for."

And there's this Teamtalk story too:

Nearer for Noades?

Brentford supremo Ron Noades has further fuelled speculation over a possible takeover of the Bluebirds.

Confirmation has been given that Noades has spoken to two Cardiff City directors over a potential deal involving £1.2 million pounds of capital from him plus another £1m worth of shares.

Noades has been quoted as saying "If I was based in Wales, I'd be jumping into Cardiff like a shot." He also reiterated the possibility of an allegiance with the former Wimbledon owner Sam Hammam. Noades commented "I'm sure he would too - I can fully understand why he tried to bring Wimbledon to Cardiff as the Cardiff Dons in the 1990's."

Noades would have big plans for the Bluebirds and a move from Ninian Park could be one of his most pressing changes, "Cardiff has enormous potential, though Ninian Park isn't big enough at the moment.

"Either it would need redeveloping, or a move to the Millenium Stadium would be the dream option but I'm sure I could develop a Premiership side if I had a Premiership standard stadium for them to play in."

However what would be a dream move for the Cardiff faithful may seem to be in the distant future. There are a number of obstacles that would need to be overcome if Noades was to take over the Ninian Park outfit.

Primarily would be the sale of Brentford, followed closely by settling his affairs as the landlord of Crystal Palace and finally uprooting his business empire from London to Wales.

It's the Silly Season alright!
