So how about an update then on the player situation.

Players released.

Jeff Eckhardt - will stay at City for another year. In an about turn Jeff has accepted a player coach role, he will be involved in the youth set up and will play when needed. I understand Jeff has taken a big pay cut to do this and will only earn more money the more games he actually plays. Mr 100% stays at Ninian Park.

Mike Ford - as reported in the last item has joined the Oxford Utd coaching staff.

Lee Phillips - no updates on whats happening to Lee.

Winstone Faerber - as previously reported has moved back to Holland.

Schwinke - on transfer list and not wanted by BA.

Dai Thomas - transfer listed, no news of any interest yet.

Chris Roberts - on transfer list but attracting interest from St Patricks in Eire.

Seamus Kelly - as Chris Roberts.

Of the players offered a new contract.

Jon Hallworth - will stay at Ninian for another year.

Danny Hill - Danny is on holiday at the moment but is expected to sign a new 2 year contract.

Jason Fowler - is expected to leave, Brentford, Swindon and Swansea all linked.

Richard Carpenter - reported in the press today as a maybe for staying is thought to be on his way out.

Pat Jennings - as not offered a contract and was on a short term deal anyway.

Paul Buttery and Lee Skelly have moved up from the youth team to sign full contracts as professional players.

The rest of the squad inc Legg (who was rumoured to be a 6 figure target for WBA and Wigan), Brazier, Boland, Perrett, Nogan, Nugent, Bowen etc are all preparing for the season ahead.
