| April Headlines |
When you are desperate for points to try and stay in Division 2 the last you need is a trip to the league leaders, the team who are 7 points clear and one / two wins away from promotion and who happened to pan you on your own ground by four goals to nil. But who knows. Obviously we are expected to be given a hammering but Reading thought that they only had to turn up to take 3 points from us and then team spirit and fans support took over and we came away with a win. City go to preston with a full squad bar one. Rob Earnshaw is still out and unlikely to feature again this season. Scott Young returns to the squad and would have played against Gillingham on Tuesday if the game had gone ahead so theres a fair chance he will play on Saturday. If he does it will be at right back in place of Winston. In fairness to Winston he's played well since his return two games ago and I think it unfair to drop him. Especially as I have not been impressed with Young in the right back role. Kevin Nugent returns after suspension and will surely partner Preston old boy Kurt Nogan up front. Nogan has a habit of scoring against his former clubs. He did last Saturday against Burnley, lets hope he can do it again. I will do a full preview later this afternoon with hopefully the full team line up (no April fools this week). Also I will add some details about Preston and travelling to Deepdale. |
