| Wed 6th Dec 2000 - Early FA Cup preview | |
| December Headlines |
Ninian Park will once again host a massive game this Saturday. For lower division
clubs the FA Cup has two very special days. 1, of course is playing a big 3rd round match
but secondly and probably just as exciting is waiting for your team to be drawn out of the
hat for the third round. To be in that position we have to win our second round game.
Cheltenham are the visitors to Ninian Park and City will revert back to a full first team
for the visit of the Robins. There will be at least one team change as Josh Low is suspended after reaching 5 bookings. His place is likely to be taken by Andy Thompson who could play at left wing back with Daniel Gabbidon reverting to his favoured right hand side. A more detailed player preview will come nearer the time but for now the hype has started. Ticket sales are going well with reports that over 6,000 have been sold already. The game is not all ticket for City fans but it is for Cheltenham. City fans though should try their utmost to pick up their tickets before matchday and if thats not possible arrive in plenty of time on Saturday. The club have been on fire, especially at home so now is the time to pick yourself up and come to Ninian Park. Those holding tickets for this Saturdays game will get preferrence on tickets for a big third round game if we were to proceed to round 3 and a lucrative tie. Further previews will follow in the build up to this big match. |
