They said it would go down the the last matches on the last day. It has, but unfortunately not for Cardiff City. With the Bluebirds already relegated for City fans what happens on the pitch will offer little comfort. A win for City and you will hear if only we had won this game / that game, got a point last week etc, etc. Defeat will put the tin hat on a season that had so much promise. For Bristol Rovers though this is their biggest match of the season. A few weeks ago they were top of the table and a cert for automatic promotion. But they have suffered a severe dip in form which could see them missing out on the play offs. Rovers currently occupy the last play off slot. A win at Ninian Park tomorrow would guarantee a place in the play offs. Should they draw and Millwall beat Oxford then its 2nd division again for Rovers. If Cardiff beat Bristol Rovers then Millwall will only need a point against Oxford to jump over Rovers on goal difference. So while there is little benefit for City tomorrow we will have a say in who will be the play off teams for this season. On the pitch it looks like being the same squad to finish the league campaign off. Theres no point in pushing Mike Ford, Russell Perrett or Jason Fowler back into action unnecessarily. For most City fans this is the last chance to see the team this season. We do have the FAW final to come but its away at Wrexham. I hope to have some more accurate team news later today. Rovers are bringing 3,000 fans to Cardiff tomorrow. Its all ticket for all fans so if you do not have a ticket get one today. The ticket office phone no is on the front page of the website. Rovers fans will be here to celebrate if they win. Cardiff fans have no axe to grind with Rovers, they are at the top of the table because they played better than we did. We are relegated because we were poor. Lets have a good game on the field and good relations off it. Good luck to Rovers but of course I want my team to win. Have a safe and happy day tomorrow, I will be at the player of the year awards tomorrow night where we can all cry in our beer after going down. See you there. Stats courtesy of Carling Opta.
