A strong reserve team made a successful visit to the Morfa today and beat Swansea by 4 goals to 2. City played a 4-3-3 formation with Shay Kelly in goals. A back four of Faerber, Phillips, Ford and Legg. The midfield three were Boland, Bonner and Hill and a front three of Bowen, Thomas and Roberts.

The goals came from Dai Thomas, who knocked in a rebound  after a long range Danny Hill strike came off the bar. Hill himself scored as well. Mike Ford and a volley from Mark Bonner completed the City scoring.

Swansea's transfer listed ex City player Tony Bird scored one for the Swans and Lee Devulgt scored the other.

Billy Ayre, who was in charge today, was extremely pleased with the performance.
