It appears that Leo Fortune West has decided to stay with Rotherham Utd. The 6'4 centre forward was at Ninian Park yesterday for talks and he has today told the Rotherham website he wanted to stay at Millmoor, but he had to look into things at Ninian Park. There is news breaking tonight that Leo has turned down the chance to play for Cardiff. Another City target Andy Morrison from Man City is currently on loan at Blackpool. Morrison only joined the seasiders last week and the following snippet from teamtalk does not make good reading. "Andy Morrison will be hoping to improve his
match fitness over the next few weeks after clearly struggling against Scunthorpe
yesterday. Joe Royle has also stopped Morrison from becoming cup tied by preventing him from playing for Blackpool in the Worthington Cup this week. Other names mentioned are Andy Marriott and Richard Dryden. Marriott is rumoured to be a possible £150,000 signing for City from Sunderland and Dryden would be a loan signing from Southampton. Southampton have confirmed the City are talking with Dryden. Rumour is that City offered 4 players a deal yesterday, Fortune West appears to have refused his offer, Morrison is unknown as he has only just gone to Blackpool, Marriot and Dryden are thinking it over. |
