Mark
Walton has completed his free transfer from Brighton. Mark will now challenge Jon
Hallworth for the no. 1 jersey with first year professional Paul Buttery as the third
choice keeper. 31 year old Mark is overjoyed at moving to Cardiff. He has signed a two
year deal after declining the offer of a similar contract at Brighton.Chris Roberts has blown his chance to sign for Exeter City. Grecians boss Noel Blake had offered a two year contract to Roberts and had agreed to Cardiff's insistence of a 50% sell on clause but Exeter withdrew their offer after being "messed about" by the player. Blake said "He wanted to join Exeter for the wrong reasons. I have decided to withdraw the offer. We may have missed out on a good player, but I only need players who want to play for Exeter City". There have been links over the weekend to Wolves' young Welsh player Ryan Green. It appears Wolves maybe willing to let him out on loan to City but there is no confirmation from Ninian Park. Also linked again last week was Dave Greene the Colchester player that was heavily linked to City last season. No further news on either of the Green(e)s at the monent. So as we stand at the moment we have the following squad. Goalkeepers Transfer list Defenders Transfer list Midfielders Out of contract Attackers Transfer list To round up then as we stand now we have 17 full time professionals. One player waiting to make his mind up and 5 players on the transfer list. |
