Since Alan Cork took control we have played 11 games. Nine wins and 2 draws, scoring 32 goals. Absolutely incredible. Cork fully deserved his Manager of the Month award for November and the curse that sometimes comes with was absent at Plainmoor today. City dominated possession and looked the better team for most of the first half but a flappy moment by Mark Walton enabled Tony Bedeau to fire the home side in front on 43 mins. But whatever was said at half time Torquay had only 60 odd seconds of the second half to enjoy their lead. Rob Earnshaw scored a great solo goal beating several players before firing in the equaliser. 14 minutes later Earnie, probably the smallest player in the division headed home a Daniel Gabbidon cross and to complete a remarkable day for the 19 year old he headed home again on 70 mins from a Kevin Evans corner to bag his second hat trick in the last 14 days. Rob has now score 7 goals in 4 games in those 14 days. Breathtaking. Sam Hammam has said he is not worth any amount of money because he is not for sale. Scouts stay away. He's going nowhere.

Torquay were blown away in the second half and the sending off of midfielder Chalqi (although there are reports the ref sent off the wrong man) for punching out at Leo FW, compounded their misery. Soon after Paul Brayson, on as a second half sub for Jason Bowen, broke free and converted the 4th.

The difference at this level is vast. Torquay attracted a crowd to today of 2,427. Close on 1,500 of those were Cardiff fans. How the Gulls can expect to survive on a home support of 1,000 fans I don't know. Maximum credit to all those City fans at Plainmoor today who were treated to four goals scored directly in front of them.

But for Cardiff City its onwards and upwards. We remain 5th in the table but a win in our game in hand would now take us upto 3rd place. Chesterfield remain top with Brighton second. Along with Cardfiff I think these are the three clubs to get automatic promotion.

Well done to all. Blooooobirds.
