City continued their unbeaten run in the pre
season friendly games. With so many first teamers out injured the City line up featured
some new names in the squad. Youth and trial players were used and two of the got the
goals. Martin Giles a defender scored on 70 mins to equalise for City after they fell
behind in the first half and Gethin Jones, the triallist from Carmarthen who came on as a
sub against Swindon, did much to enhance chances of a deal with City by scoring the winner
