After an hour, when Burnley went two up I was satisfied that they were the better team and had us sussed. But I did not expect us to come so close to pulling it back. An own goal after a Leggy throw was followed by a Burnley player being sent off and a barrage at the Burnley goal that resulted in some near misses, a disallowed goal and a penalty appeal turned down. It hurt more that we came so close, as I say after an hour I had resigned myself to defeat.

In my opinion the referee was shocking today, inconsistent and must have wandered around with his eyes closed for long periods.

With Oxford winning today we have dropped back into the relegation zone. With games coming up at Gillingham and Preston this next week will be no easy ride.
